Semmelweis University is a research-led medical school in Budapest, Hungary in Europe. Hungary is ranked 56th in the World Happiness Report 2024 and a high GDP per capita of US$ 22,141+ for 2023. Its capital, Budapest, is bisected by the Danube River. Its cityscape is studded with architectural landmarks from Buda’s medieval Castle Hill and grand neoclassical buildings along Pest’s Andrássy Avenue to the 19th-century Chain Bridge.

Founded in 1769, it is a reputed public university in Budapest, Hungary.
